McAllister - Nannie Bailey

Mellott, Jan 22 - Mrs. Nannie D. McAllister, wife of Dvid McAllister, died at her home here yesterday morning at 7 o'clock of pneumonia with which she had been seriously ill for about a week. She had been in poor health for a number of years. Deceased was born in March, 1857 near Hillsboro, the daughter of Wilson and Mary Sawyer Bailey. On September 25, 1879, she was married to David W. McAllister. Her entire life was spent in or near Mellott. She was a prominent member of the South Christ Church here. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Opal Burk and Mrs. Daisy Sowers of Indianapolis and Mrs. Nellie Murdock of WIngate; two sons, Arnett McAllister of Redonda Beach, Calif and Orville of Richmond Hills, NY and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the South Christian Church here at 10:30 Saturday morning in charge of Rev. AW McGaughey. Interment at Waynetown Masonic. - kz
